This is the second video in my series about Alita: Battle Angle and my trip to WETA Digital, in Wellington, New Zealand sponsored by 20th Century Fox. In this installment, I’m talking with stars Rosa Salazar (Birdbox, Maze Runner) and Academy Award Winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained) about their experience creating the groundbreaking film. Christoph was quick to point out that contrary to popular belief, Alita is not an effect driven film, but that the technology merely enhances the actor’s performance. The advances in motion capture technology now allow actors like Rosa and Ed Skrein to create memorable performances. Check out the full interview below!

Take a look and please subscribe and comment so that you don’t miss my upcoming videos. And check out my previous interview with Alita producer Jon Landau and the head of WETA Digital, Joseph Letteri. and stay tuned for the next video of how I met Robert Rodriguez…while wearing a totally unflattering mocap suit.
