I often talk bout comic book characters and readers who are left out of the discussion when it comes to mainstream comics and scifi, but I head never heard of Comics Empower before creator Guy Hasson invited me on his podcast Blind Panels. How would you create a comic book for someone who was visually impaired? How would you share it? Well Comics Empower has figured out a way to do just that. We discuss representation of the differently abled as well, other marginalized voices in mainstream comics and redefine the word “blerd”. It was a pretty lively discussion.
