Marvel’s Voices moves from podcast to the page in new comic out in February

Marvel is releasing a graphic novel called Marvel’s Voices #1 on February 19, 2020, that is available for pre-order now. If that title sounds familiar, it’s probably because my The Radical Geeks podcast co-host Angélique Roché has a podcast series with Marvel by the same name. Where every month, she gets to interview some fantastic creators, celebrities and fans of color about their favorite Marvel heroes.

This one-shot anthology is a mixture of both comics and prose. It features the return of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and other stories featuring the Hulk and Wolverine, Black Panther, Killmonger, She-Hulk, Black Widow, Ant-Man, and the rest of the Marvel Universe. All of the comics in the anthology are brand new and take place after the events of HOUSE OF X and POWERS OF X. And guess what? I’m in it!

That’s right, I got a chance to write one of those prose pieces that I just mentioned. So lookout for an essay entitled “The Legacy of Isaiah Bradley: The First Black Captain America.” Not only was I thrilled to have contributed, but I’m in the book with the legendary artist Kyle Baker. The original artist on the Truth: Red, White and Black series, in which Isaish Bradley made his first appearance.

From official Press Release

Having assembled the book’s stars and creators, editor Chris Robinson has had a first-hand look at the mighty Marvel action to come. “I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to oversee this historic #1 issue celebrating the characters and creators that make up the grand mosaic that is the Marvel Universe, reflecting life as we live it! Not just the world outside our windows,” Robinson notes, “but the fantastic worlds of heart and culture inside those other windows, too.”

Since the podcast’s launch, Marvel’s Voices has featured guests and talent from across Marvel’s comics, live-action television shows, animation, games, and celebrity fans of Marvel from entertainment and beyond. The series garnered a loyal following for its in-depth exclusive interviews by host Angélique Roché, highlighting unforgettable stories and key moments from the Marvel Universe through a wide range of unique perspectives. Marvel’s Voices will launch its new season in February 2020.
