Guess what folks? I’m launching a new LIVE show on Twitch starting tomorrow, June 30, at 8pmEST called #theblerdgurlLIVE The new weekly talk show has been confirmed for 8 episodes and will be hosted on the OS_Operating System Channel as the gaming channel expands into Twitch’s “Talk Show” space. 

Tapping into the underserved market of Black and marginalized genre fans, I’m going to provide weekly interviews and discussions with actors and creators about everything from comic books, and sci-fi to intersectionality, and diversity within geek spaces. The live series will serve as an extension of theblerdgurl podcast. (In fact, the audio will be re-broadcast there). The premiere episode will feature activist and entrepreneur April Reign, the creator of the #OscarSoWhite hashtag and movement, who will discuss media activism and Ensemble her recently announced digital media venture with Overture Global.

Among future guests will be actor, writer, producer Orlando Jones along with writer/showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (Luke Cage, CREED II), actress Jahkara Smith (NOS4A2), director of Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse Peter Ramsey, screenwriter and novelist Tananarive Due (Twilight Zone), and more! More guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

Every episode will be rebroadcast as a podcast with a transcript as well as on theblerdgurl youtube channel with FULL TRANSCRIPTIONS.
