POC-Friendly Comic Book Conventions

I get asked so often about conventions that are run by people of color, or are POC-friendly, that I decided to create this page to keep folks informed. I have either attended one of the cons myself of I know someone who has. Put your mouse over the titles to access links. Feel free to email me or comment with a link if you’d like a convention to be added. Thanks!

I didn’t notice it on their so if it isn’t the Atlanta Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo should be added, it is run by a black comic shop owner (Tony Cade) and while not promoted as such by any means, a good deal of the vendors as well as the crowd were black. The latest show was a few weeks ago, the next is tentatively scheduled for next March as well if I’m not mistaken.
