The sequel Willow series created by Jon Kasdan and airing on Disney Plus, is a nostalgic tribute to the original movie and includes numerous references and elements from the “Willow” novel Chronicles of the Shadow War to delight die-hard fans. Having screened the first seven episodes,I will say that the plot meanders a bit. For those new to the franchise, the show’s weekly schedule on Disney Plus will provide ample opportunity to understand the story. Ultimately, “Willow” expands upon the original lore and introduces new, unlikely heroes, while still preserving what made the original special.. Read my review for The Wrap here.
