The two Turkish Airline spots (see below) that premiered after the SuperBowl last weekend actually impressed me. Not just because they cleverly advertised the upcoming DC Comics-based Batman vs Superman movie, but because by day, I’m a freelance commercial and promo editor . Needless to say, I was pretty stoked. The spots, directed and edited by Zack Snyder, the movie’s director and supported by ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky London advertise both Gotham City and Metropolis as tourist spots that have been recently added to the roster of Turkish Airlines flight destinations.
See what I mean? They’re so good I almost wish we didn’t have to see the :05 promo tag at the end. But alas, it is advertising. Is this creative enough to get me past my Affleck aversion? Meh. Dunno yet. What do you think?
